NICKELS, Cathie "Aunty"

The AFL NT Board of Directors and staff extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Aunty Cathie Nickels on their loss. Aunty Cathie was a much loved trailblazer in our sport with her long standing commitment seeing her become AFL NT's first female Life Member in 1997. Aunty Cathie was awarded an Australian Sports Medal and the Steve Abala Role Model Administrators Medal. Her beloved Waratah Football Club also acknowledged Aunty Cathie as their inaugural Living Legend. Rest In Peace Aunty Cathie you will be missed.
