Modestino TORTORELLA
TORTORELLA, Modestino
Born in Novi Velia, Prov. Salerno, Italy on April 20th, 1941 Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 12th, 2020 Aged 79 years Dearly loved and loving husband of Pasqualina Adored and cherished father and father-in-law of Raffaele and Jade, Cassandra and Sandro, and Antonio and Rachel Proud and loving Nonno of Modestino, Breana, Rheace, Deanna, Angelo, Leonardo, Orlando and his new grandchild soon to arrive Loving brother and brother-in-law of Mario and Bianca (deceased), Annunziatina and Andrea in Italy and eight siblings (all deceased) Loved and sadly missed by his extended family and friends in Australia and overseas Mio caro amore Modestino, Sei stato esempio di vita, forza e corragio, ricordero' per sempre l'amore e il bene che mi hai donato in tutti questi meravigliosi anni. Insieme a te e volato in cielo un pezzo del mio cuore. Continuero' a vivere con goia sicura che un giorno ci ritroveremo nel Regno dei Cieli. Ti amero' per sempre la tua Pasqualina As we look back over time, we find ourselves wondering. Did we remember to thank you enough for all you have done for us? For all the times you were by our sides to help and support us, to celebrate our successes, to understand our problems and accept our defeats? Or for teaching us by your example. The value of hard work, good judgement, courage and integrity? We wonder if we ever thanked you for the sacrifices you made. To let us have the very best? And for the simple things like laughter, smiles and times we shared? If we have forgotten to show our Gratitude enough for all the things you did, we're thanking you now, and we are hoping you knew all along, How much you meant to us To Papa, We love and miss you so much. The hardest worker in the world. You were a simple man that didn’t ask for much, but did everything for his kids and grandkids. You listened to our problems and never judged us. You were always there for us, you loved us with all your heart and we saw it in your eyes. You always had time for us no matter how busy you were. We were your pride and joy. We just wish we could sit down together for one last time and say… Dad, we love you! With love, Raffaele, Cassandra, Antonio, Jade, Sandro & Rachel If we searched the whole world over, we would never find a Nonno like you. Thank you for holding us when we were babies, for playing with us when we learnt to run and for sitting and sharing in conversations with us as we grew older. Watching the smile on your face as your cooked feasts for your whole family on Friday nights, is something we will never forget. Your eldest grandson had the privilege of working alongside you, doing what you loved, and you told him you were proud. We all knew that you were proud of us, because you always let us know. You always told us “don’t work too hard”, because you worked so hard and taught your children too, so that your grandchildren wouldn’t have to. You shared with us and taught us your morals, respect, strength and generosity. The memories that we shared, will be cherished forever. We are the people we’ve become today, because we were lucky enough to have you as our Nonno. We love you Nonno, until we meet again. Love Modestino, Breana, Rheace, Deanna, Angelo, Leonardo, Orlando and Soon to be baby Carissimo fratello e Zio Modestino siamo rattristati della tua scomparsa improvvisa.
