Peter Wallace Miles 22/09/1928 - 29/01/2022
Dr Peter Miles left us on Saturday to join his beloved Sidsel (Cecile) for their next great adventure.
Born in Ovingdean UK he lived in England and South Africa before returning to England to complete his doctorate. He met the love of his life there and she met her dream “red headed Englishman who would take her all over the world.” They moved to South Australia in 1957 where Peter commenced a highly successful career working for the Waite Agricultural Research Institute and where he worked until he retired.
He leaves behind 2 loving daughters: Felice and Yasmine, 3 grandchildren: Axel, Freya and Ehren and a great granddaughter, Quinn.
Dad, you taught us so many things; the value of laughter, that science is interesting, how to DIY and how to swear and appreciate bad jokes and B grade movies. Your loss is keenly felt.
A celebration of his life will be held at a private residence on Thursday 17th February. Please contact 0405 956... if you wish to attend. In lieu of flowers we would request providing support to dementia.org.au
