MEGALOS Athina 9.4.1925 - 1.4.2016 Birthplace Ithaka, where the bells are ringing to welcome her home. Although almost 91 years old, she remained independent, resilient and active, doing the things she loved after many serious setbacks. She died suddenly, at home, as she would have chosen. Loved and devoted wife of Dimitrios (Jim) (dec.), caring sister of Michael, Kaloni, Spiros (all dec.), Titika and Nick, especially close mother of Toula, John and Dennis, adored mother-in-law of Neil and Donna, sweet Nona to Michael (and Pam), Andreanna (and Steven), Tomas and Xanthe and great grandmother to newborn Alexander. Loving Thea to Georgia. A warm, kind, courageous and generous lady who was immensely popular and respected. For our family, the end of an era.
