McDONALD, TomMelbourne Cup Day 3.11.2015 Cairns Trotting and Racing identity Tom McDonald passed away peacefully in Melbourne where he was cared for by his daughter Barbara. Tom will be truly missed by Barbara along with his sister Shirley, her husband Santo Marino and their children Joy, Ross, Michael, Lynda and families. We would like to thank extended family and Tom's life long friends who played a very big part in Tom's life, your phone calls meant so much to Tom as he struggled over the last two years with Melanoma.Our thanks must go to Doctors and Staff at the Oncology unit Cairns and Palliative Care Gordonvale. You were all so caring towards Tom. After cremation Tom will join Oriel, his life long mate who is buried at Fernvale. You have passed the post Tom, rest peacefully
