MCDONALD, John Edward

Dearly loved father of Lee and Jay, husband to Patricia, father-in-law to Kate, and grandfather to Poppy and Archer. A music industry veteran who fostered the careers of many Australian composers and recording artists for seven decades. His work was his joy and retirement inconceivable because “when you love what you’re doing you really haven’t worked a day in your life”. He helped to create some great music, told hilarious stories, was certainly never boring, a keen photographer and gardener, and ardent Francophile. He truly loved his musical life and we are grateful for the wonderful care he received from his wife Patricia and Dr David Rollo and thankful to all who played a part in the musical journey of his life and legacy.
