McCANN, John ThomasDad passed away surrounded by Family on Friday 09.10.15. He was 85.Beloved Husband of Blanche and much loved Father and Father-in-law to Helen and Gerry, Malcolm and Debra, Bradley and Janene, Heather and Bill, Lesley and Brett, Janet and Paul. Loved and amused by 24 Grandchildren and 27 Great-grandchildren. Born in Brisbane, moved to the Coast when he was about 10. Dad was a man of many talents. He was a blacksmith, mechanic, surf lifesaver, football player, coach and ref, bulldozer and dredge operator, powder monkey and attained the position of Superintendent in the fire service. He appreciated a firm handshake. Enjoyed camping and travel. Loved cups of tea with Family, stories and laughter.We shall say goodbye to our beloved Dad, ina private Family gathering.
