With profound awe and gratitude, we farewell our much-adored family friend and mentor, Ida McCann. Ida’s unbridled love and enthusiasm for her family, teaching, drama, language and literature, refugee welfare, student exchange and life-long learning…permeated her life. Ida filled every room with joy and laughter, every meal was cooked with love, every lesson was a Masterclass and every conversation encouraged full self-expression, curiosity and relationship, inspiring the best of our humanity!
Memories of Hobart Teachers College, Childrens' Theatre, “Oliver”, “Cabaret”, 4-hour breakfasts, Ida’s smile and her lilting Irish voice…will live on in our hearts forever.
