The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Neil Vivian Mayberry, eldest son of Bob (dec) and Valma Mayberry (dec). Loving Brother of Tony, Joanne and Kerryn, brother-in-law of Rhonda, Olley (dec) and Phill (dec). Unky Neil to Krissy, Robbie, Jamie, Emma, Ashleigh, Adam, Darren, Shane, Lynda, Meghan, Teigan, Brooke, and their extended families. Forever in our hearts.
As kids, we lived together.
We fought, we laughed, we cried.
We did not always show the love,
That we all had inside.
We shared our dreams and plans.
And some secrets too.
All the memories we share,
Are what bonds us now to you.
We grew to find we have the love.
That is very strong today.
It’s a love that was shared by our family,
That will never fade away.
You are our brother not by choice,
But by the nature of our birth
we could not have chosen a better one.
You were one of the best on earth.
