Beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully with family by her side.
A much loved first child to Betty (dec) & Max (dec), Joy is lovingly remembered by her daughters and their families, Kate, David & Rufus and Laura, Matthew & Sadie, by her siblings and their partners, Geoff, Anne & Peter, Phillip & Sandra and Tony & Anne and her nieces, Lisa, Amy & Megan.
A lifelong friend to Mark (dec) and loved by Ron, Shirley, James, Ellen and the Matar family. A welcomed member of the Thompson and Jones families and a dear Godmother and parent-figure to so many.
As a teacher and principal Joy committed her life to the education and mentorship of thousands of students and colleagues, she will be honoured by the ongoing achievements of all those she inspired. Through her childhood, her membership with the Nursing Mothers Association of Tasmania and her career, Joy forged deep and impactful friendships with many loyal and incredible women whose continued commitments to their careers, families and personal wellbeing and fulfilment will be a living tribute to her memory.
