LUCAS, Elaine Elizabeth

Born 14th March 1937 in Rochester VIC, a proud dairy farmer's daughter, oldest sister and second oldest of five siblings.

Passed away peacefully at home in Brisbane with loving daughter Fiona at her side, 14th March 2021. Aged 84 years .

A kind and wonderful mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Elaine was a seriously competent midwife and nursing sister, a champion for her family, her patients and her friends.

Elaine was an Adventurer, a researcher, a debater of politics and true to her Victorian roots, a sports fan, with a great sense of humour, a sharp wit and tongue when the need arose.

She nursed in regional and remote places across Australia, including Katherine, Alice Springs, Balcanoona , Miles, Woorabinda and Baralaba from the early 1960's to the late 1980's. Elaine Lucas/Robertson will be remembered fondly and missed across many parts of regional Australia.

Elaine is also survived by loving sons, Rory and Alisdair and six Grandchildren. Privately cremated with a Memorial in Rochester Victoria - as Mum wished.
