Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
GIORGIO, John (Jack)
My lifetime friend. From schoolboys smoking cigarettes at the Gums, through footy and cricket, through cars and girls, risking life and limb on our bikes, through tough times and good times you remained a champion bloke. You introduced me to music and clothes (and obviously cigarettes), we drank beer, we played footy, you bowled fast, I dropped catches. We grew up together, well at least to a level of two “Shorties”, but unfortunately we will not have the opportunity to grow old together. I will miss you my friend as will many, many people but I will never forget what you brought to my life. Say gidday to the lads up there From Heckle to Jeckle From number 17 to number 18 I love you mate, Rick
