Johna passed away peacefully on Sunday 22 March 2020 with his wife Maggie by his side, aged 92 years. Dearly loved and loving husband of Margarete (Maggie) for 45 years. Loved and loving father of Tony and dear father in law of Linda, Poppy John to Adam and Alison, Great Pop to Mia and Zoe; Poppy John to Nicole and Paul and Great Pop to Sam and Charlotte (Charlie). We will miss your stories and jokes. Loved father of Sue and father in law of Leigh, grandfather of Chantel and Jason, great grandfather of Manon, Joseph and Hugo; Pop and dear friend of Shaun (Benny Boy). Rest in peace. Loved father of Simon and father in law of Denise, grandfather of Steven, Jamie, Marc, Matthew and partners, and great grandfather to all their children. Fond stepfather of Byruta (dec), Alan (dec), Peter Zukauskas and special friend to Bernie Glynn; Pop and Great Pop of Tania, Scott, Chloe and Lucy Street; Michael and Danielle Turnbull; Amanda, Darren, Renae and Mason Phillips; Mathew, Courtney, Imogine and Lucas Zukauskas; Colin, Caitlan, Jessey and Mackenzie Zukauskas; Gary Zukauskas; Alison, Trent, Talysha and Jayden Cooke. Thank you to doctors, nurses and staff of the Gibson Unit St John’s Hospital who all cared for John with such love and affection. He enjoyed his chats and jokes with you all.
