Born 26 August 1944 (Elliston, S.A.), died surrounded by loving family and friends at Royal Darwin Hospital on 4 April 2019. Beloved son of Ken and Thelma (dec), brother to Rosemary (dec), dedicated and loving father of Mirren, Fletcher and Mitchell, father-in-law and friend to Marina and Barnaby and grandfather to Felix, Isaac and Clementine. Proud Territorian, father, son and husband.
Federal candidate, former President and life member of Australian Labor Party (NT), longtime national conference delegate and true believer. Queen’s Counsel, lawyer, advocate and mentor and prominent member of the NT legal community. Photographer, writer, world traveller, passionate lover of life and loyal friend.
John will be greatly missed by his family who are incredibly proud of him for all his contributions and for a life lived courageously and well.
