Joan Mida O'Brien (O'Hara) nee Moras OAM, MA 23.12.1917 - 31.8.2017 Wife of Frank O'Hara, killed in action 22.12.1942, and Arthur O'Brien (deceased). Youngest sister to Kath Sheridan and Lyn Muirhead (both deceased). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Michael and Maree O'Hara. A caring grandmother and great-grandmother of Paul; Sean and wife Lauren and children Harry, George, Arthur and Polly; Liam and wife Peta and children Paddy, Jack and Billy; Bryan and wife Paulette and children Tom, Abbey and Beau; Dan and wife Geordie and children Annie, Freddie, Charlie and Harriet; Kathleen and husband Brett and children Charlotte and Max; Clare and husband Campbell and children Finn, Rory and Isabelle. The family are most appreciative of the love and care of the staff and residents at Marian Hostel. Requiem Mass for Mrs Joan O'Brien will be offered in St Margaret's Chapel, Calvary Retirement Community, Gate 1, 678 Victoria Road, Ryde on Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 10.30am. The funeral will leave the chapel at the conclusion of the Mass for Macquarie Park Cemetery, corner Delhi and Plassey Roads, North Ryde. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Joan to Legacy would be greatly appreciated.
