The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
JANSZ. _ Brian. We will miss your banter and wit on our Friday Night sessions. Life is short, our memories are long. Rest in peace Tis not with humour that I'm moved to pen these lines tonight, For sadness and a heavy heart Have set these thoughts apart. Yet humour was his very life, A smile for all he met, He helped me up when I was down Quietly, lest he gain renown. A gentle giant of a man But not in stature only, The likes of him you'll never meet In country town or city street. And those of us who knew him well Feel empty at his passing, For those who loved him as their own No greater man could they have known. Rest in Peace _ Bill, Fred, Ross and Ray.
