HAYES
John William 30/12/1937 -10/06/2017
Late of Woy Woy, John passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. John was Jennifer’s soul mate and a much loved son of Beryl and Roy (deceased) , sister to Evelyn, adored father and father in law of Michele, Celia, Rob, Ian, Donna, Bruce, Melinda, John and Donna and very proud grandfather of Lucy, Max, Lauren, Naomi, Lily, Jarrod, Arthur, Bodhi and Herbert. John loved to talk to people and was often the butt of many jokes for being shoeless and under dressed but he always took the ribbing with good grace. We are all missing his cheekiness, wit and humour dreadfully and feel the world is a poorer place for losing him. Sincere thanks to the staff of Gosford Hospital, especially those in Ward M3, for taking such good care of dad. ‘you are the salt of the earth’! May the bluebird of happiness never lay an egg in your beer!
A private cremation for John has taken place.
