Val passed away peacefully at the Sandown Nursing Home, Sandy Bay Hobart.

Val was the Daughter of Harold Thorne (1904 - 1970) and Clementina Sarah Edith Thorne (nee Clark) (1904 - 1991) of Hobart, Tasmania.

Val was the dearly beloved Wife of William Geoffrey Halliday (dec) and loving Mother of Steven, Jeffery and Greg (dec) and Mother-in-law of Ferry, Jenny (dec), Debbie and Kyleigh.

Val was the much loved Grandmother of Freya and Tegan, Sam, Lewis and Katherine and Gemma, Jye and Corbin.

She was the much loved Great-grandmother of Billie, Archer, Remi, Daisy, George, Piper, Sophia, Mia, Harper and Willow.
