The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Fiercely doting father, and much loved, if exasperating, husband.
Always returned a phone call.
Will be saying to God; "It's not all about you Mate".
More ideas than Einstein.
So much up his sleeve he couldn't put his shirt on.
Got in deep, rolled a smoke, shovelled harder.
Eternal optimist who backed himself and wouldn't quit.
Never quite ahead of the field but a genuine threat to the more fancied runners when he turned for home.
Staunchly loyal.
"Ricey, I reckon I'm onto something".
Haasy, I'll just bet you are.
Go you good thing.
