GLASSBOROW. - (nee Mathews) Edna Margaret BEM 05.03.1914 - 23.03.2008 At midnight on Easter Sunday, after a short illness in The Alfred Hospital, Edna Margaret Glassborow, beloved daughter of Robert Spencer and Ruby May Mathews (both dec.) and lively sister of Robert and Thomas (both dec.). Sister-in- law of Florence (dec.) and Rita Mathews. Very much loved and loving wife of Stanley (dec.) and devoted and delighted mother of David Stanley and Julene Robyn (both dec.). Loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews and their children. A special friend to her great-niece Victoria. Edna and Stanley were early leaders in recognising the need to improve services for the intellectually disabled in Victoria. Edna's lifelong contributions will live on through Bayley House and the Helping Hand Association. A long life lived with strength and devotion "Well done thou good and faithful servant" - John and Coralie Mathews, Mark, Victoria, Sarah and their families.
