Born in Adelaide, S.A. on April 10, 1956. Passed away unexpectedly October 12, 2020. Aged 64 years. Dearly beloved husband of Anna. Loving father and father-in law of Michael and Fontaine, Lauren and Chris. Cherished Nonno of Allegra and Portia. Loved son of Rosario and Elia Papillo (both deceased). Loving brother and brother-in-law of Gina and Chris Capaldo, Ron and Margot Papillo, Angelo and Julie Papillo. Loved son-in-law of Guido and Giulia Di Fabio. Loving brother-in-law of Lisa and Danny Altamura. George will be loved, remembered and sadly missed by all his family, friends, students and colleagues. George you were my soul mate for 42 wonderful years but have been taken from me so suddenly. My heart is broken and will never mend. I adore you George, my best friend and I will love you for ever. A loving father who cherished his children. He was their mentor and confidante and was so tremendously proud of their achievements and successes in life. A devoted Grandfather, so playful and always knew how to make them laugh. Immensely loved and they were his world. You will always be in my heart and prayers. I love you George. Your loving wife Anna. Dad, my best friend, confidante and mentor, You have taken a piece of me with you. We still had so much more to do but God had other plans. My days will never be the same, special occasions will have something missing and the office will always have an emptiness. We achieved so much together, we were the A team, strong only because of the love and respect we had for each other. Your dream became my dream and I promise to continue your legacy with the same virtue, tenacity and heart that you exemplified everyday. Fontaine, the girls and I will miss you. Our hearts break that Allegra has lost her best friend and Portia too young to get to know her fun-loving, caring and devoted Nonno who loved and spoiled them so much. We thank you for loving them the way that you did. May you rest in peace until we met again. Michael, Fontaine, Allegra and Portia. Our friend, our father and our guiding light.
