The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Richard loved aircraft as a young boy and in adulthood pursued a career in aviation, with activities spanning an apprenticeship with Qantas, serving Australia in the Royal Australian Air Force, conducting aerial surveys of large sections of Australia and Papua New Guinea, to time spent being a flight instructor, allowing him to pass his enthusiasm to other aspiring pilots. His favourite aircraft was the Lockheed Hudson. One of the Hudson aircraft he captained is part of the Australian War Memorial collection and is on display to the public at Canberra Airport.
Richard leaves behind his two children, Damien and Nadina, two grandchildren, and his two sisters Sue and Jayne.
