Vale William "Billy" Gear.
With great sadness the Banks Bulldogs Football Club wishes to advise all past and present members on the passing of Bill Gear.
Billy was Banks through & through, he influenced each and every member of the Club from its very beginning 45 years ago.
A president, historian, volunteer and supporter, Billy has left an unmistakable footprint on the Club, and while his contributions cannot be acknowledged enough, his legacy will live on.
Billy was the inaugural Life Member of the Banks FC and is such a big part of the club we all enjoy today.
Billy had so much influence on footy in the NT across many clubs and players in his roles at NTFA /TEAFA & AFLNT, for which we all benefited from his passion for footy and people.
Whilst we can no longer share a beer with Billy, we can all continue to share our stories and express our gratitude of this fine gentleman.
We send our deepest condolences to Billy's family at this sad time.
RIP Billy.
