The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Aunty Lynette,
You were the life, laughter and loudness of this family.
We always knew that if we needed help you'd be there for us.
You taught us all how to swear way more than we should.
But now you are gone and you've left a hole that noone will ever fill.
I promise I'll look after nan for you and I'll keep her in line.
It's never goodbye, its see you later.
So Aunty. Until we meet again, give everyone up there a big hug for me and tell them i love them all.
Love James.
