Heather was the Inaugural Lady President of The Hope Valley Bowling Club and was part of the steering committee formed to establish the club until it’s opening.
Heather was the first lady member to become a Life Member of the club, an honour bestowed on her in appreciation of her diligence and hard work in her part of establishing the club.
Heather was a member of the first board of management and over the next 30 years was part of numerous committees, two of which werer catering where she was renowned for her expertise and the social committee which she chaired for a number of years. She took great delight in doing the flower arrangements for our special occasions and was also a dedicated pennant player and social player, where she made new members feel very welcome.
Heather will be sadly missed.
