GAHAN, Christopher Charles Edwin OAM, JP (Ret,)

It is with much sadness that the family of Chris GAHAN announce his passing.

After a long and difficult journey Chris passed with the full knowledge that he was respected and deeply loved. The family is at peace knowing that he is now at rest.

Chris will be remembered by his loved and loving wife Joy, his children David, Jennifer, Helen and Narelle; grandchildren Tristan, Dylan, Christabella, and Hugo; his sister Rose and other extended family and friends.

Chris had a full and active life prior to his illness, including a 40 year career with the Department of Agriculture, and 33 years as a passionate and committed Councillor at both the Former City of Prahran and the City of Stonnington. He was an advocate for and supported many community groups.

The family extends their thanks to the wonderful Carers for the friendship, respect and care they gave to Chris and to the family over the past few years. Further thanks to the staff at Calvary/Bethlehem and most recently at the Freemasons Coppin Centre.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, you consider contributing to a charity group in remembrance of Chris.
