FITZPATRICK, Reverend Bernard Michael

FITZPATRICK. _ Reverend Bernard Michael Ordained a priest at St Mary's Church, Castlemaine on July 27, 1958, Fr Fitzpatrick served as Chaplain to the Orphanages in Geelong and Assistant Priest of Geelong and Camberwell parishes before being appointed Director of Vocations. He held various Archdiocesan appointments and was the inaugural Director of the Ministry to Priests programme. He was appointed Parish Priest of Belmont, spent time at Macleod parish before being Parish Priest of West Geelong and then Administrator at Geelong Parish. He served at Bell Park Parish (Geelong Cluster) and was appointed Pastor Emeritus in 2015. Fr Fitzpatrick passed away at age 83, having served as a faithful priest of the Archdiocese of Melbourne for 57 years. May he rest in peace. Priests' Retirement Foundation "Caring for those who cared"
