James Desmond (“JD”) passed away peacefully after a brief illness on 15 July 2024.
JD, Des to many, was the cherished child of the late James and Dorris Fitzpatrick, the loved son-in-law of the late Harold and Monica Brain and, above all, the devoted and caring husband of his late wife, Margaret Fitzpatrick.
JD was the much loved father of Philip, Mathew, David and Mark, the proud grandfather of Benjamin, Bailey, Gretel and Monica, and the dear friend of Glenn.
Through his profession as a coach and bus driver, JD entered the lives of many commuters around Tasmania, whistling as he went.
