The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Our hearts are broken at the loss of our beautiful Mum and Nanna. She was the reliable rock of the family, kind and thoughtful to all who knew her. We relied on her memory until the end when our younger minds failed us. The saying "When an old person dies, a library burns down" could not be more true for her.
A proud nurse, that desire to care for others never left her. Even in her aged care home, she continued to be of service.
She was an inspiration to her children Ann, Dale, and Stephen.
A reliable presence to her grandchildren Jake, Ally, Jayden, Emma, Amy Luke, Bradley, and Kylie.
Now reunited with her much-loved husband Ron (Alfred) Fisher (deceased).
