The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Mum, you fought your hardest to not let go but we knew you had to leave us. But you never went alone for part of us went with you. Thank you for a lifetime of love and memories. You will always hold a place in our hearts that no one could ever fill. Our love for you will never fade. You are at peace now reunited with Dad and Nonna. Your loving son and daughter-in-law Angelo & Kathy.
Nonna, you were a woman of extreme strength and courage and despite all the hardships you endured you never gave up fighting. We thank you for your unconditional love and everything you have done for us and we will be forever grateful that we were blessed to have you as our Nonna. Your memories will always live on within us and we hope you are looking down on us with pride. You will be terribly missed but we know you are in a better place now reunited with Nonno. We will love you always and forever. Belinda & Mark, Rebecca & Frank, Michael, John & Anastasia and families.
