We are saddened to announce the death of Dr Michael Drake AM who died peacefully in his home at Mallacoota on 31 July 2023 aged 95.


Beloved husband of June. Dearly loved father and father in law of Peter, Sue, John and Anne, Nicole, Jim, Bronya and Adam and proud and much loved grandfather of Saskia, Kiara, Ella, Nell, Ben, Hannah, Irie, Molly, Calypso and Jamaica.


A profoundly decent man and a quiet achiever whose personal, professional and community legacy will long survive him.


A celebration of Michael’s life will be held later this year.
