Late of East Gosford.
Cherished husband of Maureen. Revered brother of Janice. Beloved father of Carole, Sharon, David, Jonathan & Timothy. Grandfather of James, Matthew, Andrew, Ben, Lauren & Dylan. Great-Grandfather of Oliver, Lucy & Thomas.
Bill was raised in Taree & the Manning Valley, NSW, & graduated in Accountancy at Sydney Tech. Ultimo. Legatee of a reconciling & ministerial spirit, Bill's involvement with the RLDS church in the late 50s, & the LDS Church through the 60s, saw him serve as President of the Sydney Stake from 1964 to 1970, facilitating unparalleled LDS branch growth in the greater Sydney region. A B.Arts majoring in American History from U.Syd added premise for keen involvement later with the US-based Mormon History Association, and corollary in his co-founding the Australian Mormon Studies Association. Bill also contributed to early 80s politics via the NSW division of the Liberal Party of Australia as Chairman of the Drummoyne State Conference. Bill's natural affinities in life were people, maths, sciences, history & gardening.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend his funeral service to be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - Gosford Chapel, 14-24 Akora Rd, Wyoming NSW on Thursday 16th August at 10am.
