DAVIS (nee Trotter). - Emilie Agnes Nov. 24 1924 - May 3, 2011 Emilie went to sleep at 4.30 p.m. after a short illness, surrounded by her grieving family. Beloved wife of Alan for nearly 70 years. Cherished mother of Raymond, Janet, Shirley (Mrs Smith) and Pamela (dec.) (Mrs Pernice). Mother-in-law to Christine Davis, Sydney Smith and Sebastian Pernice. Loving Nana of Charmaine Davis, Robert Davis and Saminda Davis (Mrs Leahy), Sian Dawson and Colin Pernice. Grandmother in law to Emma Davis (Griffin) and Christopher Leahy. Great Gran to Nathan, Jessica and Maddison Davis. Emilie bequeathed her body to scientific medical research and her family have respected that wish. Twin sister of Rhoda Jessie Trotter (Mrs Don Boyles); daughter of Alexander Trotter and Agnes Gifford Laurenceson; granddaughter of David Esau Trotter and Rhoda Carter and James Laurenceson and Elizabeth Gifford (all dec.). Mother to Raymond Davis, Janet Davis, Shirley (Mrs Smith) and Pamela (Mrs Pernice) (dec.). Long time resident of West Brunswick and Pascoe Vale South. Past Mayoress of Coburg Council, founding member of the Pascoe Vale South mothers club, Tawny Owl to the 4th West Brunswick Brownies, past Children's Hospital Auxiliary member, and former employee of Coca Cola in Brunswick. Proud recipient of the Federation Medal in 2001. Baker of many cakes and toffees for the PVS School fetes. Always ready for a loving cuddle and a kiss to make it better. Many thanks to the neighbours in Beresford Street for their support and care of Emilie in her twilight years, particular thanks to Jack O'Brien and the Ridgways.
