Cundall, Peter.
1.4.1927 – 5.12.2021
Aged 94.
Peter died peacefully at the Launceston General Hospital after a short illness.
Beloved husband of Tina. Father to Mark, Paul, Karl, Ross, step-son Tony, David, Rosa (dec.), and Patrick. Father in-law to Sally, Lynne, Penny, Linda, Rachele, Kymberly, and Maddy. Grandfather to Alice, Clare, Tim, Joe, Jason, Katie, Roman, and Teddy. Great grandfather to Charlie, and Jasmine.
The family extends their gratitude to the medical professionals who demonstrated such respect and kindness to Peter. In Peter’s words, “medical professionals are the heroes of this world”.
Peter will be remembered as a gardener, environmentalist, humanitarian, humanist, proud and loving father, and for his steadfast integrity at all times.
Peter was a life-long activist for peace, justice, equality, the end of corruption, and the preservation of the environment.
In the last hours of his life, he continued to look towards the future, and his obsession with current affairs and the world never wavered.
We all expected that Peter would live forever. In the end, while Peter never ever gave up, he simply ran out of time.
