Loving mother of Glynis (dec) and Heather Furnell (est), mother-in-law of John Hodgson, step mother of Bradley and Andrea Coulter (dec). Beloved grandmother of Catherine Hume, Simon and Jessica Hodgson, Nicholas and Bianca Hodgson and Sarah Hodgson. Cherished Gigi of Sophie and Aliza.Treasured friendof Joy Bromley and Pam Wilson.Adored daughter of the late Keith and Mary Latimer (nee Hunter)of Lilydale.Jean was born onJuly 3, 1937; the year her beloved Cats won the football Grand Final against Collingwood, and songs like Judy Garland's `Somewhere over the rainbow'' was playing on the wireless.Jean was a vibrant, strong woman with determination and a passion for life.A keen business woman, Jean continued and carried on a family tradition within the Newsagency industry, spanning four generations.Jean was a passionate musician and loved to sing and dance. Her continual love of animals was only ever superceded by the love she held for her family and close friends.Jean spent much of her younger years exploring the great outdoors and at the family home in Fairhaven, where she taught her grandchildren to fish, much as her father had once taught her.A Private Funeral was held at the Les Cole Chapel, Geelong West on Friday, April 15, 2016 followed by the Committal atHighton Cemetery.Special thanks to the caring staff at Balmoral Grove, and to Elizabeth Apted, for their continued support.A chapter completed,a page turned,a life well lived, a rest well earned.Carried in our hearts,alway
