The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for us,
place them in our Mother's arms
and tell her they're from us.
Tell her we love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
we do it every day,
but there's an ache within our heart
that will never go away.
Words can’t adequately describe what you meant to us as a Mother and a Nonna, and the void that is now left in our hearts. You simply lived for those you loved, and those you loved will always remember. Rest In Peace. Your loving son Anthony, daughter in law Belinda, and grandchildren Mia and Sienna Celi.
