CAUSBY, John Phillip The Woodville District Cricket Club wishes to pass on its most sincere condolences to the family of Woodville legend John Causby, who passed away on the 8th June. John was a classical batsman, respected by all and an inspiration to batsmen of all ages. John represented SA for 63 First Class games and played in its Sheffield Shield victories in 1968/69 & 1970/71. He also played in 2 Premierships for Woodville in 1965/66 & 1977/78. He sits 4th on the all-time run scorers list for Woodville with 5997 runs from 227 innings at an average of 30.59. John was a Life Member of WDCC, served on the committee as Club Secretary and was cap # 70. Rest in Peace John - Forever a Pecker
