Lyell McEwin Hospital.

Dad,

You left us so suddenly without saying goodbye. Our hearts are broken but we know your heart is where you wanted to be reunited with mum. We will cherish the time we had with you, your weekend sleepovers, watching Elvis movies, football and Italian cooking shows. Give mum a big hug and kiss from us. You are now peacefully sleeping and in no more pain. We will love and miss you always

Our home feels empty and your chair is free for anyone to sit in, and it doesn’t feel right.. We had the privilege to have you with us in our home every day for the past 3 years and that can never be replaced or be forgotten. Dad we shared many memories, from our cruises to Henley in the ute, working in the fruit shop together, laughing and hearing you talk about the history on our weekend outings are just a few we will miss and cherish. We will miss our family meals together and hearing you tell me that the food just didn’t taste like mums cooking or that you were cold and wanted the heater on but I was hot and wanted the A/C on. You were a simple man and worked hard to provide for your family and you did just that. We will be forever grateful, love you and miss you dearly. We did our best to care for you but in the end your time had suddenly come and God called you home to be reunited with mum, you will be forever in our hearts, Rest In Peace dad

When we said goodbye to mum, we never thought that four years later we would be saying goodbye to you. Dad you left us to soon and we never got a chance to say goodbye. You were a man of strength and wisdom which you passed onto us all. You left us with a lifetime of memories which we will always cherish thank you for everything you have done for us.

So many cherished memories. So many funny stories. It feels like only yesterday when Anna, Chec and I would get off the Premier bus to be greeted by the blaring sound of you honking the Maxima horn for 5 straight minutes, to let us, and all of Virginia know that you were there waiting. Thank you for everything. Now you are resting with nonna and another piece of my heart will live on in Heaven.

Our hearts are heavy losing you Nonno, but Nonna was calling for you to be together once again.

I’m so grateful Lara, James and Eva were able to share your last meals with you, and had spent so much precious time with you these school holidays, something they can forever cherish.

Every time someone saw our last name, they’d ask me How’s your nonno, I would say yeah, he’s doing ok I don’t think ‘ll ever get over the fact of saying that your no longer here. We will miss joking around with you, I will miss the way you would stir up Domenic

I’m going to miss asking for advice and the lengthy conversations about it
