Maria Luzia Casimiro
The Chief Executive Officer and staff of Territory Families, Housing and Communities extend sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Maria Luzia Casimiro (Luzia) on her recent passing.
Luzia was a highly experienced interpreter and translator who worked with a range of United Nations agencies in Timor Leste, and government agencies and NGOs in the Northern Territory.
Luzia was a highly respected member of the Interpreting and Translating Service of the NT where she worked as a Portuguese and Tetum interpreter from 1994 to 2010 and a Language Services Officer from 2012 to 2020.
She will be sadly missed.
