The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Originally from Port Lincoln, Bentley was a proud “Beagle Boy”. He was always politically involved and was the youngest Councillor in SA. A staunch union member and CFMEU state secretary until his retirement.
Bentley provided a listening ear for all. He was known for his charisma, quick wit, and having a “drink and a think”.
Bentley will be dearly missed by his sisters, Pam, Jo, Bev & Chrissy, comrades & family. Husband to Deanna. Father to Danny, Andrew (deceased) & Karina. Grandfather to Kyal, Harry, Brayden, Genevieve and SooHyeon.
After fighting with his health for years and fighting for the rights of the working class for all of his life, he is now at peace.
Bentley requested for his ashes to be buried at the Semaphore Workers Club. A celebration of his life will be held there late afternoon/evening on Saturday the 12th of June.
