The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
James, who would have thought we were only a month apart, you were always bigger and stronger and never afraid to show it either. We grew up as brothers or cousins, and no one was none the wiser. I have countless stories and memories of you, which always leave me laughing and have shaped my childhood. Rachel and I will cherish your help at our house and your willingness to help with anything. You may not have always shown it, but you were loving and gentle, and that showed every day that you were a Dad. Love you brother. Emerson and Rachel.
James, knowing you are gone has hit us hard. We cherish memories of our childhood and years spent together. We will spend a lifetime thinking of the goodbyes we didn't get to say. But we look at your children and we see your smile. Till we meet again. Love you. Didi, Yaya, Nick, Ben, Jenny and girls.
