Youngest son of Catherine Mary Cairns (née James) and Esmond Keith Cairns; brother of Dawn, Ken, Colin, Meg, and twin sister Jac.
Beloved husband of Evelyn (dec), father of Neil, Jenny, Rodney, and Alison.
The family will hold a private funeral to commit Gerald to God’s care.
