Charles is the youngest sibling of Landon (decd), Stella (decd) and Selena.

Charles served in the U.S. Navy on the Destroyer USS Somers and Aircraft Carriers USS Enterprise and USS America, seeing action off the Vietnam Coast whilst on the USS Enterprise.

A Military Honours Funeral will take place in his hometown of Anderson, South Carolina, USA where his ashes will be placed in the Columbarium Wall at the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
