BROWN, Clarice AdelaidePassed away aged 89 years on Sunday, October 7th in the presence of members of her loving family and caring staff from Moreton Bay Nursing Care Unit, her home for the last two and a half years.Deeply loved and treasured by her husband Ron (dec'd) and Ted (dec'd) her devoted partner in later life; sister Frances; brother Donnie (dec'd); sisters-in-law Val (dec'd) and Nancy; brothers-in-law Bob (dec'd), Tibby (dec'd), Gera, Arthur and Mauritz (dec'd); sons Ray and Kevin; daughter-in law Cintra; former daughter-in-law Karen Kellar; grandchildren Felicity and Clinton; great grandson Beau; nieces Juleen, Natalie, Merisa, Pamela, Christine, Pat, Janelle and Robert; nephews Roger, Paul and Stephen; great nieces Stephanie, Karen, Amie, Lara and Viv; great-nephews Nick and Sam; also Pat Kellar, Laurel and Amanda and last but not least our very-much-loved family dogs Sophie (dec'd) and Cisco.Clarice will also be greatly missed by all of the comrades and friends made over her 70 years of social and political activism with the Eureka Youth League, the Union of Australian Women (U.A.W.), the Communist Party of Australia, the union movement especially the B.W.I.U. and C.F.M.E.U.and also the Peace movement. She will also be missed by the many friends she made in recent times amongst the staff and her fellow residents at M.B.N.C.U.It was Clarice's wish that her body be donated for medical research to the University of Queensland School of Biomedical Sciences though their Body Donor Program so there will be no formal funeral but her family will be hosting a Celebration of her life in the coming weeks.Details will be announced soon.
