BLAKE, Reverend Cyril Francis

BLAKE. _ Reverend Cyril Francis Ordained a priest at St Patrick's Cathedral, East Melbourne on July 27, 1958 Fr Blake served as Assistant Priest at the parishes of Castlemaine, West Preston and Blackburn and undertook twelve years of missionary service in Papua New Guinea with Melbourne Overseas Missions. He was Administrator of East Geelong, Parish Priest of Ringwood East and Highett, retiring as Pastor Emeritus in 2011 within the parish of Holy Trinity - Bentleigh/Bentleigh East/Moorabbin. He passed away at age 85 years, having served as a faithful priest of the Archdiocese of Melbourne for 57 years. Fr Blake will be remembered as a dedicated pastor, committed to the missionary service of the Gospel - a voice for justice and a loyal friend to many.
