The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
Bev, I was fortunate to spend 61+ years loving you and you loving me. Our lives were full of love. We have two children, Leah and Jason, who you loved endlessly as they loved you. Bev you were a beautiful human being and a lady with a heart of gold, you were loved by all. You had a long battle which you fought right to your last breath. While you were ill, I told you every time you opened your eyes I'd be there and I was until you passed. I have all good memories throughout our life together - all of our holidays here and overseas, all of the lunch boxes you made up for us, and 40 years of doing the books for our business. John Denver wrote a song for his wife, Annie's Song, it seemed like he knew you. Rest in peace my darling knowing we love you so much. You were my wife and best friend. You whispered your last words to me, "I love you". Until we meet again Annie. Your ever loving, broken hearted husband, Stan (Buzzy).
