BASSI, Umberto (Alby) Born in Valle Reana, Friuli, Italy on January 8, 1930. Passed away in Adelaide, South Australia on June 16, 2019. Aged 89 years. Loving husband of Rina (deceased). Loved father of Louise, Christine and Mary-Anne. Loved father-in-law of Mark and Peter. Adored nonno of Linda, Darrin, Adam and Jessica. Special nonno to Megan, Melissa, Jason, Rylan, Max and Shaun. Bisnonno to Lisa, Lauren, Jack, Dylan, Scarlett, Caterina, Charlie, Tyson, Isabella, Elliot, Kitty and Leo. If love alone could have kept you here, you would have lived forever. Passed away peacefully at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Special thanks to all staff in the Stroke/Neurology Ward for their tender care. Thanks also to the wonderful carers and nurses at Gaynes Park for their loving care and support over the past year. Dad, Nonno You have been the mostloving and caring Father and Grandfather anyone could wish for. Your guidance, your sense of humour, your talents as a handyman for the whole family, your love of good food we shared with you. Your legacy of compassion, humility and wisdom, love of life, consideration, honesty, generosity, sincerity and basic goodness will live on in our hearts and minds forever. We will watch your flower blossom through the family for many generations to come. Thank you for being my Dad.
