BARNES. - Alan George. Passed away peacefully on July 10, 2008 at Casey Hospital, Berwick Dearly loved husband of Shirley, loving father of Pam and Terry, Wayne and Pauline, Rhonda and Ian. Devoted Pa of Justin, Aaron and Shelley, Amanda, Damien, Mikaela and Eilish, Melissa and Steven. Now At Peace It's hard to walk the road alone, Instead of side by side, But there comes a time for all of us, When the path of life divides, And as you have gone before me, One thing I ask of you, Walk slowly down the heavenly path, Till I catch up with you. - Your loving wife Shirley. Dad, you were a wonderful father, gentle, loving, kind and generous. You were my rock and tried so hard to stay. You were very precious to us all and will be in our hearts forever. Love - Pam and Terry. Your courageous battle is over You simply lived for those you loved, And those you loved will always remember. Peace at last to a truly decent gentleman Love - Wayne and Pauline, Amanda, Damien, Mikaela and Eilish. Dad, you were many things but the one thing that sticks out the most is the love that you had for your family. You had the constitution of a bull and great courage. Your endless cup of tea and glass of beer is waiting for you. Finally At Peace Love always - Rhonda and Ian, Melissa and Steven. In fondest memory of a loving Grandpa Now resting in peace Will be greatly missed You will always be with us -Your grandson Justin and Karen.
