BALE, Jane

Born in Dorking (Eng), Jane, second daughter of Henry and Edith Hunwick (dec), migrated to Tasmania in 1948 with her family. Settling at Sandy Bay, she attended Princes Street Primary and later Hobart High School.

Jane started her working life with TVT6, then the ABC and later the Tas Gov Film Unit as a film editor. She opened and ran two successful businesses before becoming mum to Rebecca Bale (USA) then moving to real estate. She later worked in the Public Service retiring from PAHSMA in 2012.

Jane was previously married to Ian Bampton (dec) and John Bale (dec). She is mourned by her soul mate of 35 years, Paul Turner, Becky and her husband Mike Scharkie, her sister, Sue Rocco (Melbourne) and nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by Nikki and Lizzy Turner and her much loved dog, Percy.

No floral tributes please but instead Jane has asked that donations be made to Parkinson's Tasmania or the Wicking Institute, UTAS.

Jane had seen the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended and the glory of the everlasting stars and is now happily caravanning the cosmos.

A gathering to celebrate Jane's life will be held later this year at Eaglehawk Neck.
