19.09.1947 ~ 06.06.2021 "Tony" to most of us; "Bear" to his extensive and embracing Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition network. Tony was a thoughtful, wise, generous and most of all, loving man who will be profoundly missed by me and all who knew him. I wish to thank Dr Wilfrid Jaksic, of Adelaide Oncology and Haematology, for giving Tony great confidence over the last nine years; the staff of St Helen's Ward and the Mary Potter Hospice at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, and the staff at Wesley House and Uniting SA, for their unfailing care and kindness towards Tony and to me. A private farewell to Tony has been held. A celebration of his life will be arranged soon.
